What is TIMI?
Technology Infrastructure
Management Information (TIMI) is all the
performance, availability, and problem
management information needed to manage a
small-business technology infrastructure. This
information is captured on a continuous, 24/7
basis and is downloaded to the TIMC at
predefined intervals. This download process is
performed via multiple VPN clients integrated
into. These VPN clients act as proxies to the
TIMC to ensure that the small business
customer’s enterprise network is the end-point
of the of the TIMI feeds.
TIMI-related performance
statistics and problem management information
being downloaded include:
-
TIMC End-to-End Route Analysis (E2ERA)
Internet Route Probes (see details below).
-
Speeds
Test that Measure the speed of the broadband
connection between the multi-WAN router and
the local ISP
-
SysLogs clients located on WAN Router
and Managed Switch.
-
Simple
Network Management Protocol (SNMP) from
router, switches, Wireless Access Points
(WAPs), and other SNMP-compliant devices.
What is End-to-End Route Analysis (E2ERA)?
E2ERA measures the availability, speed, and
quality of your Global Internet WAN connections using
Route Probe packets. Route Probe packets
are sent on a continuous basis and the responses
to these packets are used to determine to
performance of the selected ISPs, CSPs, and WSPs.
The responses to route probes are
used to analyze the performance and
availability of the key Global Internet WAN connections.

Typical E2ERA
Deployment
"The TIMC utilizes E2ERA Route
Probes to Continual Monitors the Latency,
Jitter, and End-to-End Availability of Your
Business-Critical Global Internet WAN Connections."
In addition to monitoring your
WAN router, the E2ERA continuously monitors your:
-
The Local ISP broadband
connectons,
-
Custom-designed CSP Applications installed at one or
more Cloud Service Providers (CSPs),
-
Web Applications installed on the
web hosting servers owned and managed by your Web Service Providers
(WSPs),
-
Social Network Applications
installed on Social Network Services Provider
(SNSPs) and;
-
Multiple TIMC Web
Clients installed in Tier One, Tier Two, and Tier
Three Internet Service Provider (ISP) networks.
It is important to note
that in addition to Route Probes, E2ERA also
performs periodic Speed Test on ISP and TIMC
client connections.
